Minecraft: Build Your Figures (Ages 6–8 – Week 7)

Minecraft: Build Your Figures (Age

Get ready for a week of creativity, design, and pixel-perfect fun at our Build Your Minecraft Figures summer camp for kids ages 6–8! This hands-on camp brings the world of Minecraft off the screen and into real life through 3D design and printing.

Campers will transform their favorite Minecraft characters, mobs, and tools into real-world creations using colorful 3D pens and beginner-friendly digital tools like TinkerCad. Whether it’s designing a custom creeper, building a sword, or creating their own pixel-style figure, every camper becomes the architect of their blocky universe.

Each day focuses on a different part of the Minecraft world — from character building and tools to terrain and mobs — giving kids a fun, structured way to explore digital design while staying deeply connected to a game they love.

With guidance from experienced instructors, students will also get to see their creations printed on real 3D printers. Some projects may be printed outside of class time and returned later as special surprises!

This camp is perfect for young builders who love Minecraft, creativity, and making things with their own hands. It’s an exciting journey from digital dreams to physical creations — where imagination, design, and engineering all come together, one block at a time!

What Your Child Will Gain

At our Minecraft-themed camp, your child will develop far more than just cool creations. They’ll walk away with real-world skills and personal growth:

  • Design Thinking: Kids will learn how to turn digital ideas into physical objects — planning, refining, and bringing their own creations to life.
  • Spatial and Visual Reasoning: Through 3D modeling and printing, campers sharpen their understanding of shapes, scale, and symmetry in fun and intuitive ways.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: From figuring out how to build a stable creeper to fixing a design that won’t print — every challenge sparks creative solutions.
  • Confidence Through Creation: There’s nothing like holding something you designed and built yourself. It’s empowering — and builds pride.
  • Teamwork and Sharing: Campers will share tools, collaborate on ideas, and celebrate each other’s designs, learning how to give and receive feedback.
  • Persistence and Patience: Designing and printing takes time and iteration — kids learn to troubleshoot, adapt, and keep going when things don’t work the first time.
