Mastering the 3D Pen – Art & Engineering for Ages 6–8

Welcome to a unique adventure where creativity, technology, and fun come together! Our 3D Design and Printing Camp is specifically designed for curious young minds aged 6–8, eager to explore the fascinating world of 3D design and printing.

In this immersive, hands-on experience, campers begin their journey by mastering the fundamentals of 3D drawing with user-friendly 3D pens. This foundational activity boosts their creativity and confidence, setting the stage for more advanced digital design work. Next, students dive into the captivating world of TinkerCad, an intuitive, beginner-friendly 3D modeling software that helps them turn imaginative concepts into reality.

Campers will be thoughtfully grouped based on their age and individual interests, ensuring each child enjoys personalized projects that perfectly align with their creativity and skill level. From artistic creations and customized gadgets to innovative engineering projects, each activity is crafted to build problem-solving skills and practical experience.

Throughout the camp, students will work closely with our experienced instructors, learning how 3D printers operate, including important safety and troubleshooting practices. They will witness their digital creations come to life as tangible objects, developing a deep understanding of the entire design-to-print process. Some projects may be printed outside class hours to maximize hands-on activities, and students will proudly take home or showcase their finished masterpieces.

Typical Day Schedule:

  • 9:00–9:30: Student Arrival
  • 9:30–10:45: Creative Activity Session (working with 3D pens or digital design software)
  • 10:45–11:00: Short Snack Break
  • 11:00–11:45: Continued Project Work (building on morning activities)
  • 11:45–12:45: Lunch Break
  • 12:45–14:00: Games and Outdoor Activities (weather permitting, walk to the playground)
  • 14:00–14:15: Snack Break
  • 14:15–15:30: Final Project Session (exploring 3D printed results, group discussions, finishing touches)
  • 15:30–16:00: Pickup Time

We follow strict safety protocols, particularly regarding the proper use of 3D pens and printers. All staff members are equipped with basic first-aid training and prepared to manage any health-related concerns swiftly and effectively. Our camp setting encourages inclusivity, ensuring every child feels welcome, respected, and confident to participate fully.
