Get ready for a week of fun, creativity, and hands-on discovery at our Nature Explorers: 3D Design & Printing summer camp, designed for curious and creative students ages 9–12! In this immersive program, campers will explore the connection between science, design, and the natural world, all while learning the tools of modern 3D creation.
Each day, campers will examine biological forms and natural structures—from the intricate patterns of leaves to the segmented bodies of insects—and use these discoveries to inspire their own designs. With 3D pens, they’ll quickly prototype shapes and textures, then move into TinkerCad to digitally design realistic plants, bugs, and entire mini-ecosystems.
Campers will bring their projects to life using real 3D printers, with a focus on creating models that reflect the beauty and complexity of nature. Through hands-on experience, they’ll learn how natural design principles like symmetry, repetition, and modularity can be applied in digital modeling and engineering.
This camp is ideal for kids who love both art and science, and want to turn their observations into real-world creations. It’s a week of wonder, exploration, and innovation that shows how nature can be the greatest teacher of design.
